This journal cover candidate was designed for the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI), Basel.
It shows a nucleosome with UV-light induced DNA damage (pink), which is recognized by the UV-DDB protein complex (green), which is able to shift the DNA around the nucleosome to move the damaged DNA site into a favored position for binding and repair.
